Ruth Valentine
Our People are Our Strength
 Ruth Valentine, our Elder Care Coordinator, has been a practicing social worker
in health care for 38 years. She has had direct practice, supervisory, and management experience.
She received her masters degree in social work from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey in 1970.
Ruth has worked in teaching hospitals in both Boston and Philadelphia and a community hospital in New Jersey,
providing assistance to patients and their families as they navigated the health care continuum.
In addition, Ruth was an administrator of an adult day program for clients with various functional difficulties,
and most recently directed a geriatric resource center at a local health system that served more than 1200 clients
by connecting seniors and their families with needed care and services in the community.
Ruth also organized and presented a variety of educational programs for seniors and their families,
served on a number of community committees and advisory boards including the SeniorLAW Center
in Philadelphia. Ruth and her husband are very proud of their award winning garden and their historical house, with
the original structure dating from 1791.
