Your Road Map for Elder Care Planning

Your Elder Care Plan will be customized to fit your individual desires and needs.  It provides you with a road map that can be followed to achieve your care and asset protection goals.  And, when changes occur, we stay with you every step of the way, shifting your Plan to a new path as it becomes necessary.

Your Elder Care Plan includes both elder law and care assessment and coordination services.  Learn more about what our Elder Care Coordinator can do for you.

Your Elder Care Plan

You pay one flat fee for an Elder Care Plan. We prefer not to bill our clients by the hour for our work. We have found that most clients and their families do not like hourly billing either. We have also seen problems with piece-meal services resulting in gaps in filling a client's needs. Also, piece-meal services billed on an hourly basis can result in a greater cost in the long run due to the sheer variety and amount of services needed in many situations. Our Elder Care Plan takes all these concerns into account.

Your particular fee for your Elder Care Plan will be set in advance based upon the following factors:

  • Are we planning for a married couple or an individual? Planning for two persons is usually more complex than planning for one.
  • Is this a crisis situation? Is nursing home care actual or imminent? Or do we have time to plan?
  • How complex will the planning be? On the one hand, we have found that, as a general rule, the larger the estate, the more complex the asset protection and care planning options and decisions will be. On the other hand, many asset protection and care planning issues do not depend on the wealth of the person we are planning for.
  • How difficult will it be to access public benefits such as Medicaid?

The fee you pay for your Elder Care Plan includes all necessary legal documents, consultations, and other services, including the services of our Elder Care Coordinator, Elder Law Attorneys, and other team members of your Elder Care Plan team, necessary to implement your "plan of action."

Getting Started

To see whether an Elder Care Plan is right for you, please call or email us to set up a consultation.  Home visits and phone consultations are also available.

An Elder Care consultation is very comprehensive.  Both an Elder Law Attorney and Elder Care Coordinator will participate.  Expect the consultation to take at least two hours.  There will be a $400 fee which will be credited to the cost of your Elder Care Plan. We will review your situation and discuss your options.  We then will be able to determine the flat fee you would pay for our Elder Care Plan.
